Schools

Within South Ayrshire Council there are 8 secondary schools, 40 primary schools and 2 additional support needs schools.

Active Schools

Each school has an Active Schools Coordinator working within the school to create opportunities for extra-curricular sport and physical activity. The fundamental aim of the Active Schools Network is to offer children and young people the opportunities and motivation to adopt active, healthy lifestyles, now and into adulthood.

School Sport Award

Schools have the opportunity to apply for the sportscotland School Sport Awards each year which is designed to highlight and reward all the amazing work which takes place in every school.
