Young Ambassadors
The SportScotland Young Ambassador programme is a 2-year programme for S5 pupils who have an interest in sport and encouraging others to take part in sport.
This is not a coaching role, this is role for pupils to gain experience organising, planning and speaking to larger groups.
Young Ambassadors will design and update school notice boards, help keep extra-curricular registers alongside promoting the extra-curricular timetable. They can also assist with the transition leaders and carry out the P7 surveys as well as supporting the Spirt of School Sport Award to P4/5 pupils. Young Ambassadors will also be able to sit on their school sports council and plan inter-house events. Young Ambassadors will gain awards in public speaking, Competition Organiser and disability awareness.
